I am Eric Hauck, a pianist from Upstate NY moved south.
Giving Piano Lessons in Charlotte, NC is what I do best!
Etude Op. 10, No. 4- Frédéric Chopin
As a Teacher
I emphasize the balance of quality technical facility at the keyboard with a developed ear that can recreate and embellish any tune you hear.
Students of any age and experience can learn to sit down at the piano and pick out the melody and accompaniment to an earworm. Doing this without YouTube tutorials will lead to a more fulfilling process and a more impressive product.
Coupling this with a strong foundation in classical technique and repertoire will lead to a lifetime of musical enjoyment and creativity.
By lesson’s end, all students will have the skills to play for fun (with good technique) without a teacher or video personality walking them through new music.
Children and adults alike can improve the attention and speed at which they pick up new skills in all areas through lessons with a practiced teacher.
As a Performer
I play often and with a variety of musicians. This keeps me sharp as a soloist, collaborator, and educator. As an active classical musician, I am current and familiar with the challenges of performing and learning in today’s busy world.
As a Staff Pianist at Winthrop University, I have the opportunity to play a wide range of repertoire, and to pick up on the current pedagogical techniques of collegiate level professors.
